A live brief set by International Society of Typographic Design asking for students to produce an outcome that demonstrated an eyewitness account of a significant event in time.
In response to this brief, I decided to produce a book that celebrated the significance of graphic designer Ken Garland. I collected a range of words and quotes from ex-colleagues, which allowed the book to take on an eyewitness account of what it was like to work in the studio with such a character.
In the publication, I chose to channel a modern approach that considered Ken Garlands style. I demonstrated this through the use of bright colours and brave imagery.

Self Promotion
For my self promotion I wanted to project a modern aesthetic that considered Black as the primary theme throughout. My business cards use a spot gloss finish that was achieved through print company MOO.
My design in the promotional material is intended to reflect my ethos of slick, clean and bold. If interested in receiving any of the design showed in these photographs I am happy to send out a complimentary package.
Culture Clothing
Culture Clothing is a brand/identity that I created as part of my Final Major Project whilst studying in my second year of college
in 2012.
The brand channels a youthful aesthetic that's intention was to combine a rural culture with an urban feel that can be worn amongst an audience of ages 17-25.
With this being a brand and product that I was creating for an audience such as myself, I used friends to model the garments and went on multiple photo shoots in rural areas to convey the aesthetic that I felt was appropriate.
The graphics are made up of illustrations that's intentions are to be eye-catching as well as comical. With references to some of my favorite films such as 'The Hangover' and 'Looney tunes'. The project sparked the interest of others within my community which allowed me to provide a passive income throughout my first year of university.
