A live brief set by International Society of Typographic Design asking for students to produce an outcome that demonstrated an eyewitness account of a significant event in time.
In response to this brief, I decided to produce a book that celebrated the significance of graphic designer Ken Garland. I collected a range of words and quotes from ex-colleagues, which allowed the book to take on an eyewitness account of what it was like to work in the studio with such a character.
In the publication, I chose to channel a modern approach that considered Ken Garlands style. I demonstrated this through the use of bright colours and brave imagery.

Self Promotion
For my self promotion I wanted to project a modern aesthetic that considered Black as the primary theme throughout. My business cards use a spot gloss finish that was achieved through print company MOO.
My design in the promotional material is intended to reflect my ethos of slick, clean and bold. If interested in receiving any of the design showed in these photographs I am happy to send out a complimentary package.
Since graduating from the University of Portsmouth in 2016, I went on to work as a junior digital designer at the Debenhams head offices in London.
With this being my first professional role, I was able to develop a range of technical skills as well as engaging in a studio/office environment. Working as a designer for a corporate company such as Debenhams, has allowed me to practice designing mass amounts of artwork at a fast pace, whilst meeting real deadlines to a high standard.
Working closely with senior designers has had great influence on my design approach and overall software skills. Paying great attention to details within typography and art work.
I have worked on a vast range of work including the designing of banners, image retouching, maintenance updates for the site, landing pages, brand rooms, buying guides and many more.
Below demonstrates just a handful of projects that I had the most creative control over during my time at Debenhams.
