Ciaran Forth
A live brief set by International Society of Typographic Design asking for students to produce an outcome that demonstrated an eyewitness account of a significant event in time.
In response to this brief, I decided to produce a book that celebrated the significance of graphic designer Ken Garland. I collected a range of words and quotes from ex-colleagues, which allowed the book to take on an eyewitness account of what it was like to work in the studio with such a character.
In the publication, I chose to channel a modern approach that considered Ken Garlands style. I demonstrated this through the use of bright colours and brave imagery.

Self Promotion
For my self promotion I wanted to project a modern aesthetic that considered Black as the primary theme throughout. My business cards use a spot gloss finish that was achieved through print company MOO.
My design in the promotional material is intended to reflect my ethos of slick, clean and bold. If interested in receiving any of the design showed in these photographs I am happy to send out a complimentary package.
Swoons - Album Artwork
Being a musician - as well as a designer! - has given me insight and the understanding to work on projects for bands and for personal use. As an example, this is the EP sleeve that I put together for Indie rock band 'Swoons'
Swoons frontman Luke Duffett came to me with a conceptual idea of using a female silhouette to reflect the mysterious and contextual themes that present themselves throughout the tracks on the EP
As well as playing the drums on the record, I was able to understand the visual tone that was needed to represent the four tracks. Working alongside artist and good friend Josh Mcshane, I produced a graphic artwork that retained the raw aesthetic that the band wanted to convey for an early release.
This project also included putting together band merchandise and directing and editing two music videos
